CADD drawing of an adjustable wooden solar panel mount for four 100 watt panels

These free plans are for a simple adjustable wooden solar panel mount designed around four 100 watt panels. I drew it while testing the solar setup for the tiny cabin, where I wanted a mount that could be tilted as the sun angle changed through the year.

The drawing is meant as a practical starting point for a small shed, cabin, or test array. The final brace holes are best drilled after the real panels and frame are assembled, so the angle adjustment can be matched to the actual build instead of a perfect-on-paper measurement.

This plan is part of the free Plan-to-Build library. The file downloads directly, so readers do not need a cart, account, or zero-dollar checkout.

Build Notes

The mount was designed for a small off-grid test setup, not as a stamped engineering plan. Treat the PDF as a layout reference and adjust the lumber, fasteners, anchoring, and tilt hardware to match your panels, wind exposure, snow load, and local conditions.

If you are using it as part of a cabin or shed solar setup, read the related test notes first. That page covers the panel mockup, charge controller, battery bank, generator backup idea, and the safety concerns I was still working through at the time.
